FAQ

MacBook Repair questions

Have a different question? Call or message us — we're happy to help.

How long does a MacBook repair take?
Many battery and screen repairs are done the same day when the part is in stock. Logic board work, liquid damage and repairs that need parts ordered can take a few days, and we will give you a time estimate with your quote.
Can you fix a MacBook with liquid damage?
Often, yes, especially if you power it off right away and bring it in quickly. We open the MacBook, clean the corrosion and repair damaged components on the logic board where possible.
Will I lose my data during a MacBook repair?
Screen, battery and keyboard repairs do not erase your data, and we do not access your personal files. We still recommend a Time Machine or iCloud backup before any repair, just to be safe.
What affects the cost of a MacBook repair?
The model and year, the part needed and the extent of the damage all affect the price. Request a free quote and we will send you an estimate with no obligation.
Is it worth repairing an older MacBook?
In many cases, yes. A new battery, screen or board-level repair can keep a MacBook going for a long time, and we will tell you honestly before any work begins if a repair doesn't make sense.
